Reflections

I heard the moan huffed by the sullen hills
The granite hardness of my core was untouched
Have seen too much to care, to show grief for ills.
Around me I saw a thousand clones or more
My eyes closed while others blinked for cues
Golgotha hid behind a leaden mirror
I rallied the rest to raise the gloomy panel
Just by us the screen seemed heavily set
Some unexpected force we sought to intervene
